Glass no longer allowed in the recycling

Glass is now prohibited from the recycling rollcart.  In order to stop the degradation of the paper, cardboard, plastics, and other recyclable materials, glass is no longer allowed in the recycling mix.  The glass was shattering and the shards were significantly lowering the value of the other recyclables.

Grace Period: If you have glass in your rollcart as you are first learning of this “glass ban,” there is no need to pull the glass out.  We don’t want anyone hurting themselves trying to fish glass out of their rollcart!  Just don’t put anymore glass in the recycling rollcart going forward.
